Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appealed to global partners to take “decisive action” following Russia's latest attack on Ukraine, which he said involved more than 100 missiles and some drones.

“Weakness and inadequate responses feed terrorism,” Zelensky said in a short video message posted on the social media platform X on Monday.

“Every leader and every one of our partners knows the decisive action required to bring this war to a just end.”

He again called for lifting restrictions on the use of long-range weapons provided by Western partners, which currently prevent Ukraine from striking deep into Russian territory.

“Ukraine cannot be limited in its long-term capabilities when terrorists do not face any such restrictions,” Zelensky said.

“America, Britain, France and our other partners have the power to help us stop this terror. The time for decisive action is now,” the president said, referring to some of his country's most important and powerful allies.

Russia launched large-scale air strikes on Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, in what Zelensky described as some of the heaviest air attacks in two and a half years of war.

Zelensky said Russian forces fired more than 100 missiles of various types and about 100 Shahed drones at targets across Ukraine, causing “significant damage” to the country's energy sector.
