GWS: A win in Ballarat would lift them above the Cats, but they would still be reliant on a Port loss to secure second place.

Geelong: If Port and GWS lose and Port's percentage takes a hit, the Cats could finish second and reach the Victorian final in week one.

Brisbane: The fifth is for the Lions to play a home playoff game. Nothing that happens today can change their position.
Best case: 5th. Worst case: 5th.
Hawthorn: The team starts the sixth Sunday of the season in the best form in the A-League, but a Bulldogs win would see them move up to seventh. Carlton are too far behind the Hawks in percentage terms to push them into eighth.
Best case: 6. Worst case: 8.
Western Bulldog: Their strong winning rate will see them overtake the Hawks if they win their early game in Ballarat, but a loss will leave them anxiously watching whether the Blues and Dockers win their games.
Best case: 6. Worst case: 9.
CarltonHawthorn are unlikely to win by enough margin to move into sixth place, but it is theoretically possible. If they lose, their hopes of qualifying for the finals will depend on Fremantle losing at home.

Fremantle: The team currently sits in tenth place, but will know their formula before facing Port. If the Dogs and Blues win, their final match will be a done deal, but if either team slips up, they could rekindle Lloyd's Christmas spirit in Dumb and Dumber – “So you're telling me there's a chance.”
