Birmingham, Alabama.And wit) – Arrests have been made in a shooting that left a woman dead, a man injured and property damaged. Earlier this week in Birmingham.

Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond announced that three suspects have been charged in connection with the death of 21-year-old Asia Paul. The following is a list of the suspects:

  • Justin Hendricks, 20, of Birmingham, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. He will be held without bail on the murder charge.

  • Taylor McCloud, 22, of Fairfield, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. He will be held without bail on the murder charge.

  • Jania Hendrix, 19, of Birmingham, is charged with first-degree theft of property (automobile theft). Her bond is set at $30,000.

According to Thurmond, investigators learned that an argument broke out between Paul and Jenia Hendrix at the Monarch Ridge Apartments around 10 p.m. Tuesday. The argument led to gunfire between “multiple shooters,” killing Paul and wounding another man.

Thurmond said Janiah Hendrix fled the scene in Paul's car. He also said videos posted to social media as well as information from the Mountain Brook Police Department helped greatly in the investigation.

The two suspects in the Hendrix case were arrested by the Boston Police SWAT team, while McCloud was arrested by another agency. All suspects were booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

An estimated 168 bullet casings were found at the scene. Nearby cars and homes were damaged by the gunfire. The Boston Police Department expects to charge more suspects in the case. The male victim, who was transported from the scene with any injuries, is not considered a suspect at this time.
