Taylor Swift spoke out publicly on Wednesday about the three concerts that were canceled in Vienna after authorities said they had thwarted planned terrorist attacksaying the cancellation of the shows was “devastating.”

Three shows at Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium were abruptly cancelled earlier this month after two teenagers were arrested for planning a terrorist attack outside the venue, according to Austrian authorities. A third teenager has also been arrested. He was arrested a few days later. In connection with the alleged conspiracy.

Austrian authorities said a 17-year-old Austrian national of Turkish and Croatian origin and a 19-year-old Austrian national planned to kill people outside the venue using knives or homemade explosives. While the alleged plot was thwarted a day before the first of three shows was scheduled to take place, all three shows were cancelled.

Authorities said the plot appeared to be Inspired by ISIS and Al-QaedaInvestigators said they found bomb-making materials in the homes of one of the suspects. They also found ISIS and al-Qaeda materials in the home of one of the suspects.

“I was so heartened by the love and unity I saw among the crowds coming together,” Swift wrote on Wednesday. “I decided to put all my energy into helping protect the nearly half a million people who came to see the shows in London. My team and I worked side by side with stadium staff and the UK authorities every day to make this happen, and I want to thank them for everything they did for us.”

The tour resumed last week in London, where Swift played five sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, but with extra security measures in place. Notably, fans were not allowed to gather outside the venue before the show, as they had done at previous stops on the tour.

“My priority was to finish our European tour safely, and I am happy to say that we did,” Swift wrote.
