They then repelled a series of Melbourne attacks before Dean Jeremiah's attempted steal failed, with Nanai scoring the simplest of attempts.
Attivalo Lesate scored a superb close-range effort on his debut, while Soalofi Falogo excelled at full-back after Papenhuizen was substituted.
