The man accused of shooting a man in the eye on Parkway West appeared in court Wednesday.

Victim Bob Long told Channel 11 after the hearing that he felt a great sense of relief when he learned the case against the man accused of shooting him was moving forward.

Long still wears an eye patch weeks after the shooting, which left him with the loss of an eye.

He lives in Indiana and was in Pittsburgh for work at the time of the shooting. Police say Rashawn Hall fired at Long's car as they were pulling into the parkway.

In court, Hall's defense attorney said investigators were unable to actually see Hall driving the car, even though it was registered in his name.

The judge decided that there was sufficient evidence to proceed with the case.

Channel 11 spoke with Long the day after the alleged shooter was arrested.

“If I had known someone was coming from my left side, if I had turned and looked, the bullet would have gone between my eyes, and that would have been the end of it,” Long said.

We also learned that investigators believe there was another person in the car – who has not yet been identified.
