Human remains were found in a tank on property owned by the husband of a Michigan mother of four who disappeared in 2021, authorities said Sunday, Aug. 18.

Dee Warner, 52, was reported missing on April 25, 2021, from her home on Munger Road in Tipton, which is about 65 miles southwest of Detroit and about 32 miles south of Ann Arbor.

On Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, during the execution of a search warrant in Lenawee County, human remains were found on property owned by her husband, Dale Warner, 56, Michigan State Police said in a statement Sunday.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20.

“Remains are currently being recovered and a significant amount of work and testing will be conducted before a positive identification can be made,” Minneapolis police said in a statement.

“Dee Warner's family has been contacted and informed of the findings. The investigation is ongoing,” the statement read.

Family members of the missing woman said they believe the remains, found in a storage tank in a dilapidated, isolated barn on a Dale property off Paragon Road, are those of D.

A family spokesman said the remains were found in a tank that normally contains anhydrous ammonia, which is used in agricultural fertilisers. WTVG.

Dale pleaded not guilty to both charges and long maintained his innocence. In June 2024, a judge ruled there was enough evidence to prosecute him for his wife's murder, Wax and Z Reports.

He was held on $15 million bail.

His lawyers have strongly argued that he did not kill his wife, noting that her body was never found. His lawyers did not immediately respond to People's request for comment on the discovery of the remains.
