Phil Donahue, the famous talk show host who created the hit TV show, has died at the age of 88, his manager confirmed to CBS News.
Donahue died Sunday evening surrounded by his wife, actress Marlo Thomas, his sister, children and grandchildren, his manager said in a statement.
The statement said he died peacefully after a long struggle with illness, without providing further details.
