A budding television actor has been reported missing after authorities described him as a suspect at large in an alleged domestic violence incident in Lawrence, Kansas, over the weekend, police said.
Cole Brings Plenty, 27, is an actor in “1923,” a Paramount+ spinoff of the hit Western drama “Yellowstone,” in which his uncle Moses J. Brings Plenty is a fixture.
Lawrence Police say Cole Brings Plenty appears to have fled the area Sunday after being charged with domestic violence there, according to a release.
“Officers responded to reports of a female screaming for help, but the suspect fled before officers arrived,” the Lawrence Police Department said in a statement. Share Facebook Tuesday. Traffic cameras showed leaving the city immediately after the accident.”
Cole Brings Plenty was driving a white 2005 Ford Explorer SUV, the department said.
Police said they are limited by state law in the amount of information they can release in domestic violence cases, including details of Sunday's incident. The police department said they filed an affidavit in support of an arrest warrant against the actor.
A spokesman for the Douglas County District Attorney's Office, which serves Lawrence, said the police statement would not be released unless charges are filed.
It was not clear whether Cole Brings Plenty had legal counsel in the matter. His manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Cole Brings Plenty's family, who expressed concern, reported him missing, and missing persons fliers listed him as last seen Sunday, police said.
Moses J. Brings Plenty posted a video with photos of this post on his page Instagram Tuesday account.
Peter Yankey, founder of talent agency Phirgun Mair Worldwide, which represents Cole Brings Plenty, said the actor did not show up for the audition, which will be held on Monday via Zoom.
“When Cole did not show up on Zoom, I reached out to his manager,” Yankee said in a statement. “We hope he will be found safe and appreciate the efforts of his family, friends and film industry colleagues to try and locate him. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”
Besides “1923”, Cole Brings Plenty has appeared in a few Western-themed television dramas.
