Prince Harry's plan to return to the UK appears to be just a rumour, with it being reported that he is “No interest“Back to Royal Duties.
According to The Telegraph, Duke of Sussex happily settled in California He has “amazing” friends.
There was earlier speculation that he was planning to return to his old life, as he contacted friends and a former assistant when he came to the UK to attend his uncle's funeral.
The Daily Mail reported that the Duke of Sussex is communicating with the royal family in light of the failure of things in the United States, where he moved with his wife, Meghan Markle, after giving up their royal duties in 2020.
“Harry is distancing himself from all sorts of Hollywood PR people and seeking advice from old friends and colleagues,” a source said. “He's reaching out to them and he's thinking, 'I need to do something different because what I'm doing clearly isn't working.'”
The paper claimed that some “friends” wanted a senior lieutenant to lead the “return campaign”, and named Ed Lane-Fox, the Duke’s former private secretary, as an ideal candidate. Lane-Fox, a former captain in the Royal Hussars, has maintained contact with him and is on the board of the Invictus Games.
He is said to have recently, surprisingly, contacted people he had “acquired in recent times” rather than old Etonian friends.
Prince Harry has made no secret of his desire to be reunited with the king in particular, despite conflicting accounts from both camps about efforts to make contact and who is refusing whom.
He is preparing for a trip to New York, where he has business plans to implement. He is to get involved with various charities, including African Parks, the Halo Trust, the Diana Award, and Travalyst.
The visit later this month coincides with a high-level week of the UN General Assembly, which focuses on issues such as climate change, poverty and inequality, as well as the city's annual Climate Week.
