On Saturday's main card at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, Rozenstruik (15-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) defeated Tuivasa (15-8 MMA, 8-8 UFC) via split decision (29-28, 27-30, 30-27).
Judge Howie Booth gave a dissenting assessment, one that surprised many viewers.
The fight was a tight affair throughout with plenty of strikes from distance and occasionally in the pocket. The most action came in the second round, with both men landing big punches. Tuivasa was bloodied and tried to land Max Holloway a point on the ground in the closing seconds, but this mostly resulted in a lot of shaking and twisting from both fighters.

Rozenstruik moves up to second place in 2024, after beating Shamil Gaziev in March. He has two wins and one loss in his last three matches.
With the defeat, Tuivasa lost five straight fights. His UFC career was a continuous one, with three wins followed by three losses, then five wins followed by five losses.
