Four-time NBA champion Steph Curry is already planning his life after basketball.
The 10-time NBA All-Star spoke to CNBC's “Squawk on the Street” on Tuesday about the rest of his basketball career, his various businesses and his goals after his playing career ends.
The 36-year-old Carey owns a media company, Unified Mediaand a youth golf tour, undervaluedamong other projects. He told CNBC he's also interested in owning an NBA team one day.
“For me, it's definitely a possibility,” Curry said. “I think I can do a good job of helping to preserve what a great NBA it is right now and what it takes to run a championship organization.”
The NBA star has signed a one-year, $62.6 million contract extension that will keep him with the Golden State Warriors through 2027. That deal expires when Curry turns 39 — and the guard, who led the U.S. men's basketball team to an Olympic gold medal in Paris last month, said he still has plenty of NBA basketball ahead of him.
“I know I have a lot to achieve on the pitch before I move on to other roles in the league,” he said.

Curry said seeing former basketball star Michael Jordan own the Charlotte Hornets in the past, and the possibility of the league expanding within two years, piqued his interest in ownership.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in July, The league will consider expansion after the media deal is finalized. The league signed a new, 11-year agreement worth about $77 billion in July. The deal starts after next season.
LeBron James, Curry's longtime rival and Olympic teammate, has also expressed interest in team ownership, especially if Las Vegas He was granted the franchise.
Curry said he got a first-hand look at how to run a world-class organization, saying Golden State Warriors owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber set the standard for how to treat players.
“The investment it takes to create this first-class experience that we care about allows us to play at a high level,” he said.
