The blue moon, the first of four consecutive supermoons in 2024, will reach peak illumination on Monday and remain bright until Wednesday.
according to NASAThe near side of the Moon will be 100% illuminated on Monday, and 99% illuminated on Tuesday.

The August full moon is the first of four consecutive supermoons this year. The September full moon — known as the Harvest Moon — will reach peak illumination on Tuesday, September 17.
The Hunter's Moon will peak on Thursday, October 17, and the final supermoon — known as the Beaver Moon — will peak on Friday, November 15.
