Matthew Tkachuk throws out the first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals game in his hometown.
The fun summer continued for the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers this week.
In addition to daily Cup visits with players and staff, the most recent of which was the historic Cup visit in Eastern Canada with Sam Bennett, Aaron Ekblad and Paul Maurice, among others.

Back in the United States, another Panthers player was enjoying a little appreciation for what he and his team had accomplished.
Matthew Tkachuk had a special day with the Stanley Cup and sharing it with his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
Tkachuk was joined Sunday by his childhood friend and NBA champion Jayson Tatum as they were invited to throw two first-inning pitches simultaneously before the St. Louis Cardinals host the Los Angeles Dodgers at Busch Stadium.
Just as Tkachuk did with the Panthers, Tatum helped the Boston Celtics win the 2024 NBA Championship.
Tkachuk and Tatum were friends and classmates at Chaminade Middle School, even recreating a famous photo of them on a school bus.

Although he may not have had the Stanley Cup by his side, Tkachuk did bring along the wrestling championship belt he's been seen with all summer.
This isn't the first time Tkachuk has thrown a celebratory first pitch.
Before his first training camp with the Panthers two years ago, Tkachuk was invited to Marlins Park to throw his first pitch.
When this year's camp comes around, we'll have to ask Tkachuk which camp he thinks was the better effort.
Right now, he and his teammates still have a few weeks of postseason left before they all start gathering in Fort Lauderdale for camp.
