It is not thought that anyone will replace them.” The source added: “Everyone is speculating that this means the Duke will have to leave the royal household, so what other reason could he have for withdrawing his security?”
Prince Andrew, 64, is staying at the 31-room Royal Lodge, which is set on the grounds of Windsor CastleSince 2004, after signing a 75-year lease the previous year, the property, valued at $38 million, has been Andrew's home despite growing controversy over his links to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Since 2019, Andrew has faced eviction pressure after his ties to Epstein were revealed.
Adding to his woes, Andrew has neglected to pay for the property’s upkeep, which requires $503,000 in annual maintenance, Us Weekly reported in May. The financial strain on the duke has been significant, with King Charles reportedly paying his younger brother $5.1 million a year to keep him financially afloat.

“It's no secret that the king wants him gone,” the source told The Sun.
The latest security move comes after reports that Andrew refused to vacate Royal Lodge in favour of the younger Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of his nephew Prince Harry, who was forced to leave the property in June 2023.
Despite the tensions, Andrew traveled to Scotland on Friday to join his brother and the rest of the royal family at Balmoral Castle. The Queen is keen for this to be a happy family occasion where the family will be together for just over a week to discuss future plans and relax.”
