A female student was shot and killed this weekend at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, the university confirmed.

Kentucky State University officials said the shooting occurred during a dispute Saturday in front of an Austin housing complex, before the suspect fled the campus.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the victim’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time,” Kathy Schweig, president of King Saud University, said in a statement Sunday.
